I'm sooo bad at keeping journals, but let's give it another try. So here another journal post. 


I have been thinking a lot lately, about art and about what I would like to paint and draw and what I would like to do with everything I make. I have so many sketches that might be worth showing, so I made a SketchBooK section on my DA page. 
I tried it with a seperate sketch account, but that's not working for me, so it will be gone in a few days. Form now on I will upload my sketches here. 

I hope you enjoy them, just as much I enjoy making them.

The painting isn´t finished yet, but it is coming along quite nice.  It taking a lot of time. It not a very difficult painting to do, but I put so many details in it that it taking a lot more time than I expected it would take. Drawing all these details was a lot of fun so I added more and more, but I hadn't expected that painting it would slow me down so much.

New Year, new beginnings, new projects. One project which has been lingering in my head for quite sometime is drawing or painting all our dogs. As you can read in my profile, I have 7 frenchbulldogs

Wiebe, male, 5 years
Bella, female, 5 years
Annika, female, 2 years
Tuur, male, 2 years
Bloem, female, 1 year
Mr T, male, 1 year

They are the love of my life, my happiness. They mean everything for me. Last year I did to inkpaintings of Annika and Wiebe when they were still puppies, but this year I hope to draw or paint them all as adults. I don't know whether that will be in ink, watercolor or graphite or even something else. We will see...

But at the moment, I'm just working on two fantasy watercolor painting which has been lying around for quite some time. The first one, The Dryad Tree, I started it, and then suddenly, I didn't like it anymore because of the color of the tree. Luckily, I never trew it away and I'm working on it now. 




The second one, First Snow of Winter, I drew that a few years ago. I redid the painting a few times, because I couldn't get the aurora right, but finally I getting it somewhere.

I'm not going to do 31 inkdrawing. That's a little bit to much, because I also have to finish at least two watercolor painting, and free time to draw and paint is limited. But I can do 15. So that's my goal.
